Through my love for American traditional music I was drawn into the world of acoustic stringed instruments and I have been ever since.
As a musician, repairman and builder of assorted
fretted instruments I have crossed paths with guitars (and guitarists) in
all shapes and sizes and have come to understand that the characteristics
demanded from instruments are as diverse as the players themselves.
In
terms of guitar building I use my own knowledge, firmly rooted in
traditional craftsmanship, to provide my client with the instrument he or
she wants: shape, model, use of particular tone woods, cosmetic specs,
bracing patterns etc.
Building hand made instruments is all about
voicing the musical wishes of the people I work for.
I do not restrict myself to one set type or model,
but use my expertise and care to create a first-class guitar for every
true musician.
